Microsoft Paints Politically Beautiful World For The Holidays

Let's look for the symbolism in Microsoft's new announcement for the holidays.

Earlier this year, there were concerns that Microsoft Paint, a program loved by so many, would disappear and die.

But then Microsoft said it would be replaced by Paint 3D and would also be available in the Windows Store for free.

It's like the world, right?

Every day we wake up, we open Twitter and we think it will be the end. Somehow, however, we survive. In some way, life even acquires an extra dimension.

Here, then, Microsoft offers us a young girl and some lovely 3D Paint monsters, including Gabe the Yeti.

Because when you're a little girl, you really need to be transported to a magical outer space, away from the traumas of everyday life.

Out there, everyone is friends.

It does not matter if your face is purple and you have enough eyes that point in different directions. It does not matter if you are a man of snow trampled, or if you are temporarily without legs.

Actually, there are people out there, sometimes very far away, who are willing to help.

As Microsoft itself says on YouTube: "When we are inclusive and celebrate our differences, we can make the world a better place."

Yes, this could be a lovely little piece, festive, cheerful, warm and moving.

It is also a message for all those who would isolate the United States, divide the Americans and stop immigration, all the problems that Microsoft has fought against.

Even so, the announcement also offers an optimistic view of the future.

If, as Stephen Hawking argues, we will have to leave Earth in 100 years, it is good to know that there are beings in space that will welcome us with open arms.
