Cheetah Mobile’s Android Launcher Is The First To Feature Microsoft’s Cortana

Voice-activated assistants are in vogue. Apple has Siri, Android has Google Assistant, Samsung has Bixby, and now Microsoft's Cortana has found a mobile partner: Cheetah Mobile. You can recognize Cheetah as the company behind applications like Clean Master, but Cortana lives inside her CM Launcher for Android, which replaces the pre-installed application launcher on her phone. It is the first time that Cortana is integrated into a mobile launch application.

By adding Cortana, CM Launcher's voice-controlled features work with artificial intelligence and Microsoft's speech recognition system. For example, Cortana may be asked to make calls, read news, create and manage events, translate text and search the web. Cortana will also speak to make sure you remember things to do, help with recommendations and more. It's just the beginning of the relationship between Cheetah Mobile and Microsoft, with the promise of adding more features to CM Launcher in the future, some of which will be unique to the application. Although this is Cortana's first appearance in an Android launcher application, both Microsoft and Cheetah Mobile have been working on artificial intelligence for some time. In April 2016, Cheetah Mobile promised an investment of $ 50 million to develop A.I. in its applications, and since then it has opened a research and development center in Silicon Valley, where the team works in A.I. and automatic learning. Cortana on your own is also available for Android.
